FyreTV.com is a soon-to-be released IPTV service that is accessed via a set-top box. The box is hooked up through a standard DSL line and features true streaming video with no buffering. The service also boasts DVD quality movies and trick play functionality, which creates the ability to fast forward and rewind.

Users of FyreTV.com can utilize a proprietary search engine that allows them to search inside movie titles for specific performers and scenes, as well as create playlists and favorites, similar to iTunes. The system protects the content via DRM technology.

“It’s easy to recognize that the classics remain popular, but VCX has to evolve like everyone else in the business,” VCX President David Sutton told XBIZ. “As technology and delivery systems come to the market, we at VCX intend to not only remain at the forefront of classic providers, but innovators in the adult space as a whole.

Sutton saw the FyreTV.com demonstration at Internext and immediately was hooked.

“I’ve seen our content delivered on this system and it is unbelievable,” he said. “I’m proud to be associated with this new technology as one of the few companies selected for the initial rollout. The people, especially the techies at FyreTV.com, are geniuses. This is going to be big.”

Sutton said that VCX has supplied FyreTV.com with 10 titles for a private testing broadcast sequence and once the testing is complete, the company will add more titles into the rotation.

Adult industry investment company AdultVest is handling the licensing for FyreTV.com.

“As you know, the adult entertainment industry is always a leader in new technology, and I am delighted to know that the classics, once again, will continue to live on,” Mara Epstein, AdultVest’s director of business development, told XBIZ. “We have several other major players who were very impressed with our client’s technology and are on the verge of signing their contracts.”
