WantedList Sets Up Online Shop on HeatSeek Browser

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Adult DVD rental company WantedList.com has joined into a partnership with software developer HeatSeek.com to create a WantedList store within the HeatSeek platform.

HeatSeek, touted as the "Ultimate Software for Adults," is a browser and media manager that protects and encrypts user files, browsing history and activity so no traces are left on a machine after use. HeatSeek can be downloaded free, although an upgraded version is available for purchase.

By placing the WantedList store within HeatSeek, users can rent movies from WantedList.com in privacy, and any browsing and viewing within the WantedList site is confidential. When the HeatSeek browser accesses WantedList.com's selection of adult films and toys, the companies can provide online adult consumers with a one-stop shop. The consumer can browse DVD rentals and purchases, sex toys and streaming video-on-demand, and shop without another person discovering their rentals and purchases on the computer.

"HeatSeek is for the type of user who doesn't want any trace of their adult surfing on their computer. That's what our model is all about," Anh Tran, co-founder of WantedList.com, told XBIZ. "Our model was trying to get people outside of the video store so they wouldn't have to worry about the embarrassment of being in a video store. With people's concern about privacy on their personal PC, it was the right partnership for us to have, to give our users an anonymous surfing experience while getting their adult movies anonymously online."

"The partnership with WantedList is an exciting one for our company," HeatSeek President Dave Brown said. "As the leaders in our respective fields, both in technology and upstanding consumer values, this partnership is a win-win for the consumer."
