“With all the television shows dedicated to showing competitions between beautiful women, we though it was time to turn the tables and give women the chance to check out some of the hottest men in the country,” said Playgirl editor-in-chief Michele Zipp.
In the style of hit reality shows such as American Idol, the centerfold hopefuls will strut their stuff in front of a live audience and try to win over a panel of celebrity judges, including Zipp and Vivid Video vixen Savannah Samson. Viewers also can vote online for their favorite competitor.
“What’s great about these types of programs is that we can see the audience’s reaction right away, so we know which guys the ladies want to see nude in the magazine,” Zipp told XBiz. “It helps us fulfill our mission of delivering fantasies”
Viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the contestants’ photo shoots as well as an up close and very intimate profile of each. Contenders include self-proclaimed bad boy Dante, all-American country boy Austin and sensitive teddy bear Moon, among others.
One lucky online voter will a chance to watch an upcoming Playgirl photo shoot and go on a dream date with the centerfold.
“The show is a lot of fun, and we’re thrilled that Playgirl TV’s first pay-per-view special has the opportunity to reach so many viewers,” Zipp said.
Playgirl TV’s Centerfold Search Las Vegas will begin airing nationwide on Feb. 17 and run through April on iNDEMAND Pay-Per-View and major satellite networks.
