'Legs' Hits Bookstores, Web

LOS ANGELES – Photographer Dave Naz has released a new coffee table book featuring a mix of well-known adult starlets and amateur models with one thing in common — great legs.

“Legs” highlights Naz’s work for magazines such as Leg World and Leg Show, as well as original photos he’s shot over the past two years.

Those familiar with Naz’s work know that he prefers a raw, stripped-down, natural look for his models. True to form, most of the models in “Legs” appear with minimal makeup.

“I’m not into an airbrushed, phony look,” Naz told XBiz. “I like a model to look like who she really is. I find I get more personality that way.”

Naz said many of the models he works with embrace the idea of appearing without makeup, even adult stars such as Justine Joli, Belladonna, Jelena Jensen, Charlie Laine, Katja Kassin and Mary Jane, all of whom appear in “Legs.”

“I was honored that they allowed me to shoot them in a way that they had never been shot before,” said Naz.

There are plenty of new faces in “Legs,” too. Naz told XBiz he often receives emails at his website, DaveNaz, from women asking to take part in upcoming projects. And although he can only shoot a small percentage of the women, he gratefully welcomes their requests.

“I like to shoot models when they first get into the industry and aren't really sure how to pose,” said Naz. “You can get the most natural look that way. I also like to shoot the real innocent looking ones in really dirty, vulnerable positions. It may not be the PC thing to say, but I think it's sexy.”

“Legs” is Naz’s third hardcover book, following the success of “Panties” and “Lust Circus.” His work also has been featured in numerous adult magazines, on Playboy TV and at galleries in Los Angeles and New York.

Naz will be signing copies of “Legs” at the Clair Obscur Gallery in Los Angeles on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m..
