Mr. Skin’s ‘Skincyclopedia’ Hits Bookstores

NEW YORK — St. Martin’s Press has officially released “Mr. Skin’s Skincyclopedia: The A-to-Z Guide to Finding Your Favorite Actresses Naked,” a 618-page reference for nude scenes featuring 2,005 different actresses ranging from Angela Aames to Elsa Zylberstein.

Each entry in the Skincyclopedia features descriptive biographies of the actress, chronological listings of movies and television shows that the actress has appeared in nude, a special section listing which body parts appear unclad in which films, and the “SKIN-fining Moment,” the single most important nude scene that the actress has appeared in according to Mr. Skin.

The book also includes a plethora of “Mr. Skin’s Top Ten” lists, including “Top Ten Favorite Celeb Nude Scenes,” “Top Ten Naked Women in Prison,” and “Top Ten Naked Babes who do Cartoon Voices,” as well as quotes from the actresses, about 100 black and white photographs, and a year-by-year collection of “Anatomy Awards.”

Mr. Skin himself even details his own interest in the celebrity female nude, beginning with his fascination with the bra section of the JC Penny catalogue, moving to high school when he started creating celeb nude-scene compilation tapes, and his sky-rocket to success when he first appeared on a Chicago radio show to discuss his expertise in celebrity nudity.

The book, released on Jan. 11, 2005, retails for $27.95.
