Study: Eating Berries Boosts Sex Drive

LONDON – Drug manufacturers that peddle sex improvement drugs like Viagra might be facing a formidable adversary: Mother Nature.

A recent sex study reveals that the nutritional properties of Raspberries and Strawberries increase the sex drives of men and women.

Similar to Viagra, a prescription drug that works by increasing blood flow to the penis, ingesting berries increases blood flow to the genitals, the study states.

Researcher Patrick Holfor also discovered that increased blood flow is directly linked to zinc, which is prevalent in fruit seeds. Zinc plays a crucial role in maintaining human sex drives, and the anti-oxidants in berries help sustain energy.

"My message is simple: every time you have sex, or simply want to ready yourself or your partner for sex you should consume a handful of raspberries or strawberries," Holfor said.

Holfor is a researcher for London-based Institute for Optimum Nutrition, which recently conducted nutritional research on the connection between diet and criminal behavior.
