Football legends Lawrence Taylor and William “The Fridge” Perry joined celebrities, media and city officials at the Coliseum Monday afternoon in announcing the Lingerie Football League.
The league, which will get started January 30, will include four teams – Los Angeles Temptation, Chicago Bliss, New York Euphoria and Dallas Desire.
All of the LFL games (three) will be played at the Coliseum. The two top teams will advance to play in the NFL’s Super Bowl halftime.
Wearing football gear over lacy panties, garters and bras, the players will be under full-contact, with seven on each side.
Spokesman Alastair Surprise told XBiz that the league has just signed a DVD deal with Universal Studios, as well as a music contract with Bungaloo Records. Surprise also said that a video game deal is also in the works.
West Hollywood, Calif.-based Horizon Productions Inc., which owns the league, said a portion of proceeds will go to AIDS Research Alliance of America.
