Aiden Ashley Stars in Ricky Greenwood's 'Blue Moon Rising' for MissaX

LOS ANGELES — Aiden Ashley stars in Ricky Greenwood’s new supernatural erotic thriller “Blue Moon Rising,” his first 2021 feature for MissaX.com.

Scripted by Shawn Alff from a story by Greenwood, the FX-intense production — using mainstream horror makeup techniques — follows Ashley as she tries to navigate a mysterious encounter with Olive (Brooklyn Gray) and her lust for transformation that ensues.

“Blue Moon Rising" co-stars reigning XBIZ "Performer of the Year" Dante Colle as a biker and Tommy Pistol as a cop who becomes involved in Aiden’s attempts to figure out what’s happening to her.

"It was a dream come true,” said Greenwood. “Since I started directing, I've wanted to direct a werewolf movie. Thanks to Missa, I can check that off my bucket list.”

Greenwood described the process as “not an easy journey, but everyone involved in the project was on their 'A' game and we created something special.”

The director singled out makeup artist Alexxx Moon and his star, Ashley, who “put this movie on her shoulders like a pro. She goes above and beyond for this movie and did it all like a pro.”

“I hope she will get the recognition she deserves,” Greenwood added.

Producer Missa X noted she “cut [her] teeth on creating these types of movies for werewolf fans starting back in 2013."

"It is lovely to bring on top-level talent to produce for these fans again as werewolf movies hold a special place for me," she said. "Having fans of the genre like Ricky and Alexxx work on a project like this, you knew from the start it would turn out great."

The star-studded cast also features Codey Steele, Brad Newman, Nicole Sage, David Lord, Shawn Alff, Dominic Pacifico, Nathan Bronson, Johnny Goodluck and Chad Alva.
