2019 Sex Report from Orion Reveals Surprising Results

FLENSBURG, Germany — Orion Wholesale has released its 2019 Sex Report and according to reps, the results are suprising.

Focusing on masturbation and sex toys, Orion surveyed nearly 14,000 people, revealing what German consumers prefer when shopping for naughty toys, and in the bedroom.

According to the survey, 50 percent of participants own one to five sex toys and 23 percent own six to ten, while 10 percent stated that they own none at all.

75 percent of participants surveyed said that they own a vibrator, with dildos ranking second with 54 percent of people saying they own one. Orion also reports that anal toy ownership is on the rise, especially amongst younger consumers, with 36 percent of participants saying they had one.

Notably, men's products such as masturbators and prostate toys barely made the top 10 despite male consumers making up half the survey pool.

When it comes to why people are purchasing sex toys, results showed that almost two thirds of participants use them to experiment or spice up a relationship while 10 percent use them to stimulate hard-to-reach spots and 5 percent see them as "guaranteed" orgasms. Rarely, consumers report using sex toys for medical reasons such as erectile dysfunction or strengthening the pelvic floor muscles.

Orion also discovered that approximately 25 percent of participants buy a new toy for their collection once a year, and almost 20 percent do so twice a year. At least 8 percent add a new toy to their collection more than once a month and 22 percent don't even do so once a year.

The survey also touched on where exactly participants like to be stimulated on their body. Orion found that the overwhelming majority of men cite the tip of their penis to be their favorite erogenous zone, followed by testicles, nipples, and 21 percent of men reporting that the prostate is their top pick.

Aside from the clitoris, 48 percent of women report that their G-spot is the favorite hotspot on the body with nipples, A-spot and, interestingly, the area around the opening of the urethra, the U-spot, accounting for roughly 8 percent of women's top choices.

In terms of how often Germans are masturbating, Orion revealed that almost 20 percent of men surveyed do so every day but only 1 percent of women report the same. Using one's hands to get off ranks slightly above using toys at 58 percent reporting this to be the preferred method, especially amongst men.

Finally, the survey revealed that more than half of all participants said that they reach orgasm quicker via masturbation, while 23 percent said that they also come more often on their own.

In conclusion, a rep noted, "The results are a colourful, varied, partially surprising, but in any case, very erotic potpourri that proves: love, eroticism and the world of sex toys are multifaceted and everyone enjoys them their own way."
