New Sensations/Digital Sin Receives 5 XRCO Noms

LOS ANGELES — New Sensations/Digital Sin received five combined nominations for the 2019 XRCO Awards, including Best Comedy for New Sensations' "Love In the Digital Age" and Best Girl/Girl Series for Digital Sin's "The Lesbian Experience."

Written and directed by Jacky St. James, "Love In the Digital Age" marks the filmmaker's return to romance and the first release for studio label New Sensations Romance since 2014's "Second Chances," which was named Best Release at the 2015 XRCO Awards.

"Thank you XRCO for recognizing 'Love In the Digital Age' and my work as a director," St. James said. "It is always validating to have a group of respected critics credit your work as nom-worthy."

“Love In the Digital Age” stars Gia Paige as Sara, an internet-obsessed millennial, who on a dare, gives up her smart phone and social media and discovers love is far more rewarding with your head out of the cloud. Logan Pierce plays her love interest Grif, an embittered romantic eager to start a romance with Sara before she uncovers a secret that could cost them both what they've been looking for.

Paige and Pierce's performances are recognized with nominations for Best Actress and Best Actor, respectively.

"I want to thank Jacky for believing in me and seeing things that I didn’t see in myself before," Paige said. "It feels really good to see your work be nominated but I’m really, really proud of this movie, it’s message, and all of the really amazing people I got to work alongside for it."

"Working with Jacky is always a dream," Pierce said. "She crafts three-dimensional characters and allows the actors the freedom to play and experiment in order to really get into the role. When she finally says 'I believe it,' you know she’s telling the truth and you’ve done your job."

"Love In the Digital Age" is coming off a win for Best Couples-Themed Release at the 2019 XBIZ Awards.

Digital Sin is nominated at the 2019 XRCO Awards for Best Girl/Girl Series for its line of high-end lesbian erotica "The Lesbian Experience" and in the category for All In the Family for "My Sexy Little Sister 5."
