Henri Pachard to Direct ‘Barely Legal’ Spinoff for Hustler Video

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Cancer can’t keep Henri Pachard down. The legendary adult director is back in the saddle with Hustler Video after a long hiatus spent battling the disease. Pachard is scheduled to direct “Barely Legal Troublemakers” this weekend.

“Hustler Video is known for shooting the college teen market,” Hustler Video Creative Director Drew Rosenfeld told XBIZ. “We have a great brand with ‘Barely Legal.’ Henri actually took the time to write a script for this latest offshoot. I’ve known him for years and I’m glad he’s back directing.”

Pachard has directed more than 400 adult movies in his long career, which began in 1979. His latest movie for Hustler Video is a vignette piece about college girls with a penchant for hell-raising.

“After getting past the cancer and four surgeries,” Pachard said, “bring those adorable brats on!”

Pachard said that his extended break from shooting allowed his creative juices to flow.

“I pitched ‘Troublemakers’ to Drew Rosenfeld, and he liked my idea enough to work it into the ‘Barely Legal’ lineup,” Pachard said. “I haven’t been this excited about shooting since the early ’90s, when I was directing films in 35 millimeter. And having my son, Ralph Parfait, shooting camera for me really puts the icing on the cake.”

“Barely Legal Troublemakers” stars Lexi Belle, Sarah Fay, Kayden Faye, Christine Alexis and Andi Anderson. It’s scheduled for a late-October or early-November release.

Pachard’s previous credits include “Babylon Pink,” “The Devil in Miss Jones 2,” “Blame It On Ginger,” “Sexcapades” and the four-part miniseries “Taboo American Style.”
