ManyVids Launches Suicide Prevention Initiative

LOS ANGELES — ManyVids is honoring World Suicide Prevention Day with the launch of its suicide prevention initiative targeting the adult entertainment industry.

According to the fast-growing adult community, it will now offer MV Hotline, a confidential counseling service free to all adult performers, along with a social media campaign dedicated to the tragic loss of performer August Ames who took her own life in 2017.

“Adult workers often find themselves feeling isolated and hopeless. And, because their families and friends don’t always approve of their lifestyles, they are left feeling that there is nowhere else to turn,” says ManyVids CEO Bella French. “We want them to know they can turn to us.”

The MV Hotline is a confidential counseling service offered free to not only MV Stars but to all adult performers in the industry who may be feeling alone or in distress. The company says it has trained professionals ready to privately discuss the issues sex workers might be experiencing and to help them find the resources needed to get through dark times.

The MV Hotline number is 1 (888) 350-3051.

In addition, ManyVids’ social media campaign will feature banners bearing Ames’ face and the MV Hotline number in an effort to counteract the negativity that is often seen on social media by asking fans and like-minded individuals to spread positivity by retweeting the August Ames banner pinned on MV’s Twitter and to tag someone you care about and let them know what you love most about them, because sometimes, that is all it takes to turn someone’s day around.

MV intends to create additional uplifting banners to promote positivity throughout the year.
