Insite Adult Ceases Business

CYBERSPACE – Affiliate program Insite Adult has shut its electronic gateway and its parent company will be filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy, XBiz has learned.

The company, registered by the Georgia Secretary of State office as being owned by John Epp of New Jersey, began in 1996.

“Insite Adult quickly took the lead in establishing itself as the leader in marketing adult niche site offerings,” the company said on its website, which once offered free content, webmaster referrals, and bi-monthly payouts.

But last week the company posted a note on the top of its site: “All Insite webmaster programs are closed and the company is ceasing operations. All further communication will be conducted through our legal counsel. Affiliates can get detailed contact information by logging in to the webmaster area.”

Epp’s attorney, sole practitioner Ian Fallone of Marietta, Ga., told XBiz that Insite Investments, the umbrella company which owns Insite Adult, will be filing Chapter 7, seeking to liquidate the company.

"We've been retained for that purpose," said Fallone, who did not immediately disclose the company's creditors or assets.

Insite Investments, which was formed in 1993 as a real estate and stock investment firm, according to its website, established itself quickly in 1996, when the online adult community was expanding to where it is today – a reported $12 billion industry.

“We continue to grow and adapt to the changes in our industry,” said Insite Adult's website, which was still partially active Monday. “Our business mentality is about quality and longevity in an industry that has just scratched the surface with marketing opportunities.”
