ONTARIO, Calif. — CalExotics today announced that it is financially backing the production of “Cocks Not Glocks,” a documentary that will chronicle the controversial Campus Dildo Carry anti-gun rally that was held on Aug. 24, 2016 at the University of Texas, Austin.
Campus Dildo Carry rallied thousands of UT students carrying dildos, (ironically regulated as a Class C misdemeanor), in protest of Campus Carry Law S.B.11, that provides that gun license holders may carry a concealed handgun throughout public university campuses in Texas. The protest captured the campus sentiment of “Why leave your dildos at home if other people won't leave their guns at home?”
“As a female who has been in the adult novelty industry for decades, I am well aware of what it means to stand up for what you believe in,” said Susan Colvin, founder and CEO of CalExotics. “So when I see young people exercising their freedom of speech in this way, when many others don’t have gumption to do it, I can’t help but want to support their efforts.”
In addition to financially supporting its documentary, CalExotics also backed the Cocks Not Glocks organization in 2016, when the novelty company made a sizeable donation of dildos to help “arm” UT students who attended the original Campus Dildo Carry protest.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support CalExotics has shown us as we pursue our mission and passion,” said Jessica Jin, creator of Cocks Not Glocks. “With their support, we will reach millions with this documentary and we cannot wait to reveal it to the world in 2019.”
