“Reaching a milestone like this confirms our presence and visibility among the fans of adult entertainment,” Anh Tran, CEO of executive sponsor WantedList.com said. “From inception, it was F.A.M.E.’s goal to give the fans their own award show and their own voice, void of politics of any kind. To reach this goal in our second year is unprecedented. We are honored to be founding partners of F.A.M.E. and look forward to taking the show to new levels every year.”
Dan Davis, F.A.M.E. spokesman and Genesis magazine’s editor in chief added, “The number of votes we have received is astounding. I would like to thank the studios, stars and fans that have supported the show, marketing it online in their forums, groups, websites and ancillary sites. Now that the fans have spoken, come see [who won].”
The F.A.M.E. Awards were created in 2006 by executive sponsors and show creators Genesis magazine, Adam & Eve, WantedList.com and AVN.com for fans to honor their favorite adult film stars, directors, movies and companies. Fans take part in the entire process, from choosing the finalists to selecting the winners. The 2007 F.A.M.E. Awards is cosponsored by ImLive.com, HotMovies.com and Erotica LA.
Winners will be announced at the second annual fan-based awards show, which will be hosted by adult superstars Tera Patrick and Evan Stone and take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center June 23. Red carpet arrivals will begin at 7:30 p.m. before a 9:00 p.m. show start time.
