TV Anchor Sues Porn Industry

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Catherine Bosley, the television anchor who found herself in the eye of controversy when SexBrat.com got ahold of a videotape in which she appears nude, has quit her day job with WKBN-TV and filed a lawsuit against certain members of the adult entertainment industry in a U.S. District Court.

Seattle-based SexBrat.com, which is run by Marvad Corp., made its name as the first adult site to market the Paris Hilton sex tape in which she appears with ex-boyfriend Rick Solomon. SexBrat made a splash last week with the announcement that its latest celebrity videotape featured news anchor Catherine Bosley.

Marvad is currently embroiled in a lawsuit with Rick Solomon over the Hilton sex tape.

The Bosley videotape first surfaced after a Tampa-based company called DreamGirls leaked the content onto the web, according to sources. Sexbrat.com claims to have secured the licensing rights from DreamGirls and is marketing the video that reportedly features Bosley frolicking nude and participating in a wet t-shirt contest in a Florida bar.

Bosley appears on stage for all three rounds of the contest and then at the time of the final judging, she takes off her clothes. The prize money for the contest was no more than $300.

Touted as "the naked anchor," Bosley reportedly decided to file the lawsuit this week because her images continue to show up on various websites, including Sexbrat.com.

Bosley has retained the services of Mark Colucci to take her case to federal court. Papers filed are claiming that her image and name were used without her permission.

But according to the person who claims to have secured the rights to the video, Bosley signed a release before appearing in the wet t-shirt contest.

The person known as "Hayden" also claims that the Tampa bar had signs posted everywhere backstage that informed contestants that they were being filmed by a video production company.

"By entering the stage beyond this sign, you are hereby consenting and agreeing to your picture and image being used for any reproduction of any type and sale without further compensation," Hayden claims the sign read.

Additionally, Hayden claims a video cameraman was standing directly in front of the stage during the entire contest.

Representatives for SexBrat and Marvad were not available for comment at the time of this printing.
