CamSoda to Deliver VR Experience That Allows Smell

LOS ANGELES — CamSoda is taking pre-orders for its OhRoma Mask, which delivers aromas to accompany the virtual reality experience.

Working with a user's VR headset, the OhRoma Mask features two heatable canisters that contain three cartridge slots that are Bluetooth-enabled and accessed via iOS and Android apps.

OhRoma Mask users can select an assortment of aromas, including “private parts,” “body odor,” “fragrances,” “panties,” “aphrodisiacs” and “environments,” among others.

Daron Lundeen, president of CamSoda, said that with the lauch of OhRoma, the VR experience will move to the next level.

“Virtual reality figures to play a pivotal role in 2017, and we wanted to enhance the experience for our fans by introducing OhRoma, which now allows users to smell what they are seeing and hearing," he said.

“It delivers a heightened sensation of pure unadulterated ecstasy, allowing users to completely immerse themselves in the experience," he said. "We’re excited for our fans to try it out.”

Lundeen said that CamSoda remains steadfast in its "pursuit of technology that challenges the boundaries of what is imaginable and to provide our fans with as many dimensions of sensory stimulus as possible."

An OhRoma Mask will retail for $99, which includes 30 scents. It is available for pre-order here.

Lundeen noted the company, which launched lived VR programming last year, is currently conceptualizing the integration of touch into the VR experience, as well.
