Jessica Drake Nominated for XBIZ Exec Award

LOS ANGELES — Sex educator and Wicked Pictures contract performer Jessica Drake has been nominated for Community Figure of the Year in the retail edition of the 2017 XBIZ Exec Awards, to be held at the Andaz Hotel on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip in January.

“I’m so grateful to XBIZ for recognizing me with a nomination for Community Figure of the Year,” Drake said. “My goal for the last several years has been to use my platform in this industry to get people to start talking about sexuality in a more open, positive way, and to remove the shame and stigma that society so often applies. As someone who identifies as a sex worker and feminist, I am also learning to use my voice to advocate for others in any way necessary.”

The online industry edition of the 2017 XBIZ Exec Awards will take place at an exclusive ceremony on Jan. 10, followed by the retail edition on Jan. 11.

Drake and Team Wicked recently raised $21,755 for AIDS charities at AIDS Walk Los Angeles.

“I am so very thankful to Steve Orenstein and everyone at Wicked Pictures for their support and encouragement and also, for walking along this path with me,” Drake said. “My goal for 2017 is to keep challenging myself, to be an advocate and an ally, to reach more people, and to keep providing them with realistic, pleasure-based, shame-free sex education which emphasizes consent, confidence and communication.”

Steve Orenstein, president and owner of Wicked Pictures, said, “Jessica has headlined some of our most popular releases over the years, but it is her tireless efforts to educate and help people however she can which really have had the most impact. I am extremely proud of all that she has accomplished and continue to expect great things from her.”
