Shopmaker.com Hires Copyright-Police.com to Fight Piracy

ST. ODILIENBERG, Netherlands — Shopmaker.com, a platform for filmmakers and content owners to build and host paysites, has decided to outsource it’s anti-piracy activities to Copyright-Police.com.

"We were sick and tired of finding stolen content from our customers’ membership sites all over the Internet," said Dietmar Noss, CEO of Shopmaker.com. “Of course, we have our own abuse department, but we wanted a bazooka, not a musket. That’s why we hired the Copyright-Police, and these guys deliver on their promises.”

During the third quarter of 2016, a spokesperson for Shopmaker.com said, Copyright-Police.com “found and eliminated more than 25,000 pirated files for websites hosted by Shopmaker.com.”

Based in Siegen, Germany, Copyright-Police.com is a digital services company that specializes in the protection of intellectual property.

“A dedicated team of international professionals searches the internet for copyright infringements, requests their deletion and gathers evidence for possible legal action,” Shopmaker.com said of Copyright-Police.com.
