ASACP Honors its Featured Sponsors for September 2016

LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its Featured Sponsors for the month of September, 2016.

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning says that its Featured Sponsors serve as excellent examples of proactive corporate responsibility, and represent the pinnacle of ethical operation in the industry.

“Honoring those companies that have made a commitment to child protection,” Henning explains, “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors demonstrate how caring professionals and legitimate businesses make up today’s adult entertainment and digital media industries — and are concerned with protecting children enough to put their money where their mouth is, rather than paying mere lip service to this ongoing effort.”

Continuing its 20-year record of success, ASACP’s internationally recognized Child Exploitation Tipline has processed more than one million CP reports since its inception, while its free educational and informational resources and tools for digital media companies provide market specific Best Practices and a universal Code of Ethics for businesses, app- and website operators.

In addition, ASACP’s Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label aids parents by helping prevent children’s access to adult-oriented websites and mobile apps — and is provided to all site and app owners, free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the non-profit association’s sponsors.

Honoring this month’s Featured Sponsors, ASACP recognizes Lion’s Den and OrbitalPay for their ongoing support of the association and their commitment to protecting children online.

Lion’s Den
Celebrating a decade of ASACP Corporate Sponsorship, Lion’s Den Adult Superstore is dedicated to providing consumers with the very best adult merchandise — including a range of toys, magazines, DVDs, lingerie, massage oils and gifts for both bachelor and bachelorette parties.

The Lion’s Den opened its first retail facility in Columbus, Ohio, in 1971 and has since then expanded to more than 40 locations throughout the country, each of which maintains the highest standards of customer service and professionalism bolstered by a courteous sales staff.

According to the company, it built its reputation on quality products and low prices from the very beginning, treating customers with the dignity and respect that forms loyal relationships — a focus on dignity and respect that it has extended to its support of ASACP since 2006, out of a desire to protect children from exposure to products and services intended for adults only.

OrbitalPay
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2012, OrbitalPay offers a premier gateway billing solution as well as merchant accounts at competitive rates for all business types, such as product sales, membership and subscription sites, video on demand and live cams, nutraceuticals, and more, including websites that offer adult-oriented content and services.

With more than a decade of experience as a boutique billing service provider to companies of all sizes for over a decade, from start-ups to multi-national conglomerates, OrbitalPay offers superior tools and direct banking relationships backed by a knowledgeable staff, that helps clients define the best banking strategy for their business — including advising clients about problematic content from a billing compliance standpoint.

OrbitalPay serves as a great example of how even non adult companies have taken a responsible stand in the fight against child exploitation by supporting the association, simply because it is the right thing to do.

In an era when ASACP faces greater challenges and responsibilities despite its smaller budget, this non-profit organization provides vital resources for all stakeholders, not just its sponsors, members, and contributors — but to continue offering those services, it needs everyone to step up and pitch in.

“There are many reputable companies within the industry that have the capability, but have not yet shown the will, to stand up in this fight,” Henning concludes. “Now is the time for them to join their peers in supporting ASACP and its ongoing battle for the protection of children — and the industry.”
