DIMOCO to Bring Carrier Billing Expertise to European Summit

PRAGUE — DIMOCO, a leading payment institute for carrier billing in Europe, will participate in The European Summit 2016, discussing current mobile payment trends and promoting networking opportunities before and during the event. The European Summit 2016 will be held at the Parkhotel Praha in Prague, Czech Republic from Sept. 20-23.

DIMOCO will hold a “meet and mingle” event for business partners in the main bar of the Parkhotel Praha on Sept. 20 at 8 p.m.

“We welcome all conference participants to the event and encourage them to speak about their carrier billing experiences in the European market in a pleasant atmosphere,” said Gerald Tauchner, president and CEO of the Vienna, Austria-based DIMOCO.

DIMOCO representative Markus Fischbacher will address what can be expected in the digital payment environment during the European Summit's Mobile Day session, to be held in the Parkhotel Prague’s BitterStrawberry Seminar Room 1 on Sept. 22 at 1:00 p.m.

According to DIMOCO, a DIMOCO and Juniper Research report measured first-time transaction rates at 70-77 percent for operator/carrier billing vs. 10-12 percent on credit cards. For repeat purchases, the report showed an 80-88 percent conversion rate with operator/carrier billing vs. 20-25 percent with credit cards.

DIMOCO enables almost 1 billion European subscribers to purchase goods and services from merchants and aggregators with their mobile devices, which are charged via the operators’ billing system.
