JockMenLive.com Encourages Social Interaction Among Members

LOS ANGELES — JockMenLive.com are encouraging social interaction on the gay cam site, which features musclemen and bodybuilders from around the world.

Shaun Loftus, director of marketing for JockMenLive.com, said, “From the inception of JockMenLive, we wanted to create a new kind of user experience: a Facebook for muscle, catering specifically to the fans of muscular guys, bodybuilders and jocks. Sex is easy to come by, but what our members kept telling us is that they were looking for 'relationship'.”

JockMenLive.com said the site features “forums, videos, Facebook-style profiles and newsfeeds and dating/hookup filters to help fans hook up with each other or with the muscleman of their dreams.”

Loftus said, “We wanted to create a concierge service for our members. So we surveyed them, asking them what they really wanted JockMenLive to be. And then, we delivered.”

The preferences of JockMenLive.com members, the site said, “might surprise you.” According to a spokesperson, “JockMenLive's membership overwhelmingly wanted an old-fashioned forum, where they could exchange pics, interact with models and with each other and exchange information.”

Loftus said that JockMenLive.com’s interactive forum has “been an overwhelming success. We were a little terrified, as there is little worse than an empty, inactive forum. But our members got busy making that space their own. To sweeten the deal, we give paid members extra credits whenever they interact.”

The other most frequently requested feature, according to Shaun L., was the ability to use Skype.

“Skype has always been the bane of our existence,” Shaun L. said. “We make our money from cams, and models can easily be tempted offsite. But we decided to listen to what our members were saying: Skype still provides the best cam-to-cam, voice-to-voice experience, and our members really want intimacy. Of course, we still feature normal, pay-per-minute cam streaming as well. Skype is a service we only provide to our VIP members, which is another way we reward our customers for their loyalty.”

JockMenLive.com now features fully formed member profiles, where members can upload photos, videos, interact using newsfeeds, and leave reviews of any models anywhere. Members can also broadcast for fun or profit,  building up credits to use on live shows or on buying custom made video clips.

Coming next will be new dating and hookup tools, which JockMenLive said will allow “members and models to find Mr. Right, Mr. Right Now, or even arrange live muscle worship sessions with some of the top names in the muscle world.”

“It's our goal to provide a fully realized social cam site for this market, and then, expand to new niche's over time,” Loftus said. “Once we make JockMenLive.com the Facebook of muscle, we can do the same for any other niche or fan group.”
