LOS ANGELES — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) has announced its featured sponsors for July: CCBill, Porn.com and Cherry Pimps.

The association's internationally recognized Child Exploitation Hotline, according to ASACP, "has processed more than 1 million reports since its inception, and has an enviable record of success." In addition, ASACP offers education, information and tools that help digital media companies with best practices and a universal code of ethics for businesses, app and website operators — while ASACP's Restricted To Adults (RTA) meta label helps prevent a minor's access to adult-oriented websites and mobile apps.

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning said that by supporting these initiatives, the association's featured sponsors epitomize corporate responsibility and self-regulation.

"The association's Sponsor Recognition Program honors those companies that have demonstrated a commitment to child protection that sets an example for their fellow businesses to follow," Henning said. "By doing so, these companies demonstrate to legislators and others that the adult industry is made up of caring professionals and legitimate businesses intent on protecting children."

Internet payment services provider CCBill, an ASACP Title Sponsor supporting the association since 2008, serves both merchants and consumers.

"ASACP is a critical component in both helping to maintain corporate responsibility within online markets and demonstrating our community's commitment to childhood protection," said Gary Jackson, managing vice president of sales for CCBill. "We are proud to offer our support as Title Sponsor and look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership."

Jackson, ASACP said, serves on ASACP's Advisory Council, further demonstrating CCBill's commitment to supporting the association.

"What some may not know is that the CCBill ethics and code of conduct policies, which we adopted and applied to our merchants, were developed with the assistance of the ASACP," Jackson said. "And working with [Henning] during their development was instrumental to how we as an industry leader operate. This spirit of cooperation is further underscored through our participation on the ASACP Advisory Board, where we are able to engage with board members to drive attention to important matters across all merchant, consumer and online markets we serve."

Jackson said, "As an invited member of the ASACP Advisory Board, we are honored to help the industry remain diligent and support its continued advancement. For example, the effort ASACP undertakes to actively discuss child protection measures with governmental bodies and regulatory agencies is paramount to maintaining a favorable business climate since uninformed proposals or regulations can have dramatic impacts."

Jackson said, "Take the age verification and access restriction discussions being aimed at billers and hosting providers, for instance. The focus and commitment of Tim Henning and his organization to serve as a voice for the industry in these various conversations is a massive benefit for all of us, and lending our support while serving on the Advisory Board is a privilege."

Porn.com has been an ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2008.

According to ASACP, "Operating a video tube site that receives submissions from registered content partners, Porn.com bypasses many of the questionable content issues associated with tube sites that allow uploads from anonymous users — which often consist of unauthorized postings of copyrighted material or depictions of underage models. By controlling the sources of its content, Porn.com provides proof that adult tube sites can operate successfully without having to take a blind eye towards the type of materials they publish."

ASACP said that Cherry Pimps, an ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2013, "helps to protect children from exposure to age-restricted materials by locking its content behind a pay wall that requires viewers to purchase access to the company's adult content, including its live webcam sex shows, rather than offering it free for all visitors in an unrestricted environment."

Cherry Pimps CEO Jack Avalanche said, "We're happy to continue our support of the ASACP, as they work to help protect children online. Their work is invaluable, and we must remember that their work is often thankless but extremely necessary to keep child predators out of the online environment."

Avalanche said, "We thank the entire team at ASACP and look forward to many more years of cooperation. I encourage all those who are not sponsors to step up to the plate and participate and give back to your community."

The wide range of companies that support ASACP, the association said, "demonstrate how the adult industry and its service providers fight child exploitation simply because it is the right thing to do."

Henning said, "ASACP's featured sponsors are industry leaders that serve as inspiring examples of corporate responsibility and the benefits of proactive stewardship. In this time of declining revenues and increasing challenges, it is more important now than ever before for stakeholders, sponsors, members and contributors to follow the lead of our featured sponsors to help make our continued success possible."

Founded in 1996, ASACP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to online child protection.
