Girlfriends Films Donates to Avon 39 Walk in Santa Barbara

VALENCIA, Calif. — Girlfriends Films has announced a charitable donation to the Santa Barbara Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer, scheduled to take place Sep. 10-11 in Santa Barbara, Calif. The all-girl adult film studio has published an article in its June newsletter announcing the donation.

This 39-mile walk, which spans a two-day weekend, invites participants to "crush fear, doubt and breast cancer, one persistent step and donation at a time." Through donations, the program assists thousands of women each year by helping those who are at risk or diagnosed with the disease today, and also, funds research to find better treatments for the future.

Moose, president of Girlfriends Films, said choosing this charity was a no-brainer.

"Our original films are all about women, and we want to show our support by bringing awareness to this battle that more and more women are facing every day," Moose said.

In addition to the Santa Barbara event in September, several walks supporting Avon 39 are slated for Jul. 2016-Jun. 2017 in various cities, including Boston, San Francisco, New York, Houston, Washington D.C., and Chicago. Girlfriends Films invites colleagues, fans, and friends to join them in the effort by donating or signing up to participate in a nearby walk for Avon 39.
