Chaturbate to Host Workshop at Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit

LOS ANGELES — Live cam network Chaturbate will present a Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit workshop in August exploring how live cams have changed the face of adult entertainment.

The workshop also will take a look at how individuals can use live cams to explore their own sexual identity. 

Kelly Pierce, a Chaturbate broadcaster and transgender rights activist, will lead the "Exploring Sexuality With Live Cams" workshop along with Shirley Lara, Chaturbate’s chief operations officer.

The workshop will offer insight on the role live cams play in the adult industry, along with tips to create a successful camming persona and have a profitable experience on cam sites.

"The live cam industry has seen a rapid growth in people from all walks of life, going online to explore their sexuality,” Lara said. “Chaturbate is a very community­oriented cam platform, which empowers individuals to be comfortable and supported as they embrace their unique sexual identity.”

Pierce said, "I think sexual freedoms are just as important as any other freedoms. I love working in the world of webcam, which allows flexible hours, a safe environment and a live platform I use to educate my fans on trans­women." 

Woodhull Freedom Foundation's Sexual Freedom Summit brings together human rights activists, sexuality educators and researchers, professionals from the legal and medical fields, authors, sexual freedom movement leaders and organizational partners, to expand and advance recognition of sexual freedom as a fundamental human right.

Woodhull's Sexual Freedom Summit takes place Aug. 4-7 at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. Chaturbate’s workshop is slated for Aug. 6.

Chaturbate is sponsoring a contest for free passes to the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit. The entry form will be available through June 20 by visiting WoodhullFoundation.org.
