Playboy Music Debuts With Help From Playmates

Playboy Music Debuts With Help From Playmates

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Playboy and its lineup of sexy models have entered into the music streaming business with Playboy Music.

The iconic men's publication that dropped nudity in its magazine in March launched Playboy Music as a mobile app on Wednesday. It’s available for iPhone and Android at 99 cents a month.

Playboy Music shouldn’t be confused with streaming services like Spotify or Apple Music; it offers music from artists with niche appeal and includes videos of Playboy models, who seductively pose, act, dance and lounge to songs.

To start, Playboy Music features five Playboy models, including 2016 Playmate of the Year Eugena Washington.

Playboy Music’s debut came about from a licensing deal with digital distributor Bamm.tv, which has been creating live performance music videos for artists for years.

"Playboy Music celebrates the diversity of female sexiness with a curated playlist of songs framed within beautifully crafted videos," Jeff LaPenna, creative director of the Playboy Music app at Bamm.tv, said in a press release.

"But the models are more than just sexy — they are the focal point of a narrative that connects beauty with music in a way that men will enjoy and women will find empowering."
