Execs Announce Plans to Attend Latin American Summit

CANCUN — CEOs and executives have been announcing their plans to attend the Latin American Summit, a B2B conference for the online adult industry that will be held at the Me Hotel in Cancun, Mexico from Jun. 14-17.

Andy Wullmer, CEO of SGM Media, said that it is good to see an adult industry convention taking place in Mexico.

"I am really happy to join the Latin American Summit for both business and private reasons," Wullmer said. "SGM first started in Europe with our mobile products. We then expanded to Central and South America, and with Mexico leading the charge, this quickly became our second biggest market for mobile billing."

Adult companies, according to Wullmer, should not overlook Latin American traffic.

"I truly hope that the Latin American Summit is the beginning of more industry events in this part of the world," Wullmer said. "In my global stats of the most interesting markets in this part of the world, I see Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Chile as high ranking and profitable."

Thomas Skavhellen, CBO of PlugRush, said that attending the Latin American Summit is a natural choice in light of the amount of adult traffic coming from Latin American countries.

"In PlugRush," Skavhellen said, "we have a lot of traffic from Latin American countries like Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. So we hope to meet new potential partners with local knowledge that are looking for mobile redirects and pop-traffic for these geos. Latin America seems to be the next natural step to have a summit like this with so many great things happening in the adult entertainment industry in these countries."

Steve Winyard, vice president of ICM Registry, said that ICM looks forward to meeting people at the Latin American Summit.

Winyard said, "The Internet is crowded, and it is critical to stand out. Domain names that can be branded, detail exactly what is on offer and are easy to remember are one of the keys to success..... The Latin American Summit will provide you with a chance to meet ICM Registry and discuss flexible ways to get your new, powerful premium domain as well as be showcased in .xxx, which drives millions of hits of traffic free to all who own our domains. Stand out and be noticed."
