LOS ANGELES — XBIZ Award-winning director Axel Braun has announced a casting contest for a role in his upcoming film, "The Empire Strikes Back XXX: An Axel Braun Parody," decided exclusively by the fans. Beginning today, and lasting for two weeks, fans can go to the movie’s Indiegogo crowdfunding page and vote for their favorite eligible adult star by donating $5. The winner will be announced on April 4.
The list of 15 eligible porn stars includes Katrina Jade, Ana Foxxx, Sasha Heart, Abby Lee Brazil, Alexis Texas, Karmen Karma, April O'Neil, Anya Ivy, Raven Bay, Romi Rain, Tasha Reign, Brandy Aniston, Katy Kiss, Mercedes Carrera and Jenna Ivory.
After selecting to donate on the page, fans will see three options available: full name, anonymous and other. By choosing other, fans can write the name of their favorite star, and choose to identify themselves as well. For example, John Doe could write “John Doe for Susie Star,” and one vote for Susie Star will be tallied. Fans may vote as many times as they would like.
“We love our fans, and since they are making this whole project possible, we wanted them to have a role in deciding who they want to cast in the movie,” Braun said. “Now, they can finally see how hard it is to choose from so many talented and beautiful performers when you only have a limited number of roles. I trust they’ll be up to the task.”
Supporters of "The Empire Strikes Back XXX" crowdfunding campaign may also choose from a number of other perks as well, including an official invitation to party with the cast at the premiere for $25, a signed script by the entire cast for $75 and a signed poster of the entire cast for $100. The film’s crowdfunding campaign aims to raise $500,000 by April 22 as part of Braun’s effort to combat movie piracy by offering the movie free of charge online once completed. When successful, it will become the first adult feature film to be produced entirely from the proceeds of a crowdfunding campaign.
"The Empire Strikes Back XXX: An Axel Braun Parody" already has an all-star adult cast, which includes Allie Haze, Lexington Steele, Seth Gamble, Riley Steele, Carter Cruise, Aiden Ashley, Dani Daniels, Dick Chibbles, Steven St. Croix, Casey Calvert and Asa Akira, on special loan from Wicked Pictures.
The movie is scheduled to begin production on June 1 and continue for 28 days in California, Nevada and Alaska. It will be released on September 30.
