NakedSword Film Works Debuts 'Hattie Goes Cruising'

SAN FRANCISCO — NakedSword Film Works (NSFW) has debuted their second indie short film of 2016, "Hattie Goes Cruising," following the release of "100 Boyfriends Mixtape" last week exclusively on NakedSword.com.

NSFW was created to expand upon NakedSword's vision of creating independent gay shorts and features that combine sex with experimental filmmaking. Whether as a presenter, a producer or distributor, the goal of the NakedSword Film Work projects is to challenge what we consider pornography.

"Hattie Goes Cruising" nostalgically explores the world of gay hook-ups in the age of internet and sex apps where having sex in parks and public bathrooms, for many, is a thing of the past. But for Hank Major, a 70-year-old gay African-American man from Philadelphia, picking up guys on the street or at the park is still very much a real part of his life.

"Hattie Goes Cruising" is a short about Major, whose friends have nicknamed Hattie Louise. He takes viewers back in time, through his turbulent life of cruising, while rifling through his collection of dirty photos. Hattie shares his vivid memories, insights and practical advice for picking up guys, how to deal with difficult tricks and everything in between. He also reveals his 35-year-long relationship with partner Alan, who has never asked Hattie to change his cruising ways.

The director, Konstantin Bock, is a film and theater director based in Berlin where he works on commercials, music videos, short films and documentaries. His new documentary "Hattie Goes Cruising" recently finished a festival run in the U.S., after premiering at the 2015 New Orleans Film Festival. The short has also screened at the 2015 Out On Film Festival in Atlanta, the 2015 NewFest in New York, the 2015 St. Louis International Film Festival and the 2015 Merlinka International Queer Film Festival in Belgrade.

President of Falcon Studios Group and the NakedSword Network Tim Valenti said, "'Hattie Goes Cruising' is really unlike anything currently on NakedSword. This project furthers our mission of making NakedSword more than a porn site, but a destination site for gay entertainment that not only stimulates but also entertains and in some cases enlightens."

"Hattie Goes Cruising" is now playing only on NakedSword.com.
