Gia Nova Named Ambassador for 'Scares That Care'

HAMPSTEAD, Md. — Burlesque performer Gia Nova has been named celebrity ambassador for Scares That Care, a nonprofit organization that helps families with expenses resulting from childhood illnesses.

“I’m thrilled to be involved with Scares That Care,” Nova said. “They are a 100 percent volunteer organization and do wonderful work providing money and toys and help families all over the country. They do so much good, and it makes me feel good to be a part of changing lives for the better. I hope my fans join me in making the world a less scary place for those fighting for their lives.”

Scares That Care raises a minimum of $30,000 annually, and all of that money is donated to families.

Scares That Care is the official charity of horror conventions Monsterpalooza, Mad Monster, and Rock Shock.
