LOS ANGELES — Former adult performer turned director/producer Rebecca Lord has announced release of her new autobiography, "To My Dear Civilians, with Love." The book looks back on some of the experiences that Lord has had in the industry over the years.
Lord's book "explains and shows how women in this industry aren't generally a victim, as the outside world likes to believe," she said.
Although the Paris-born Lord retired from performing, she returned to the industry two years ago as a producer and director of couples-oriented adult films released under the umbrella Rebecca Lord Productions. So far, Lord has released seven of her movies through Exile Distribution, and she continues to shoot films in European locations with top European adult stars. Lord, who worked in the U.S. but presently lives in Europe, also operates the adult site RebeccaLord.com.
Lord worked on "To My Dear Civilians, with Love" with Brian Whitney, who is also the author or co-author of seven prior books, including the novel "Raping the Gods" and an autobiography on adult film star and exotic dancer Porsche Lynn.
