Doc Johnson's Sunny Rodgers Named XBIZ 'Community Figure of the Year'

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Pleasure products powerhouse Doc Johnson has announced that its  Marketing Director, Sunny Rodgers, was honored with the “Community Figure of the Year” award at the XBIZ Executive Awards show on January 14.

“I would like to congratulate Sunny on her XBIZ ‘Community Figure’ award,” said Doc Johnson COO/CCO, Chad Braverman. “Sunny has been a great addition to our Doc Johnson team and regularly exceeds all expectations. This recognition reflects all of Sunny’s hard work, and the inspiration and enthusiasm that she brings to her position and her interactions with others.”

Sunny joined the Doc Johnson team in 2014. Her focus has been on building a cohesive brand strategy that emphasizes brand values and clearly defines the Doc Johnson company message.

Since her arrival she has helped Doc Johnson launch a comprehensive B2B Resource site, amplified advertising efforts internationally, and has extended Doc Johnson’s marketing reach and has substantially grown brand awareness with the launch of the “Ask The Doc” radio show that is recorded live every Friday on Playboy Radio. This radio show has had more than 150,000 listens since November of 2014, and continues to grow in popularity across multiple platforms.

“Sunny's positive attitude is infectious and you can tell by the industry response to her win that she was the right person to receive this honor,” said Scott Watkins, Doc Johnson’s VP of Sales and Marketing. “I am so pleased that her efforts were recognized by XBIZ and this industry, and we are all excited to see where Sunny will lead our marketing team next.”

Rodgers serves as Marketing Director for Doc Johnson and continues to focus on short and long range goals targeted toward existing and new markets, with both mainstream and international markets having become an integral part of Doc Johnson’s marketing strategy.

“I am extremely honored to have been nominated along with so many great people in this industry,” said Rodgers. “I want to thank XBIZ for this honor, as well as all the amazing people who have helped me become who I am today.”

Rodgers leads the entire marketing team to ensure a consistent brand presence across multiple platforms and plans to consistently launch new marketing tools and programs to benefit customers and consumers worldwide.

“As I said in my acceptance speech, I am especially thankful for my Doc family for their help, support, and their belief in me and my crazy ideas,” Rodgers adds, “and I’m excited to see what my future holds!”
