Casey Calvert Gets 2016 XBIZ Nom as ‘Female Performer of the Year’

LOS ANGELES — In a year of high profile movies, mainstream media attention, and outspoken support for the adult industry, adult performer Casey Calvert has been nominated for the 2016 XBIZ Award for “Female Performer of the Year.”

Calvert received the honor along with a nom as “Best Actress — All Girl Release,” for “Girlfriends,” by Wicked Pictures, written and directed by Stormy Daniels.

“It’s been an amazing year of incredibly hard work and lots of accomplishments, so I’m very thankful to XBIZ for these nominations,” Calvert said. “I’m especially thankful to Wicked and Stormy for the opportunity to be a part of ‘Girlfriends’ and its amazing cast and production team.”

Earlier this year, the talented young performer was named “One of the Top 7 Porn Stars You Need to Know About” by Bustle.com, one of the top women’s lifestyle sites in the world. Calvert’s rising star power was also acknowledged by the adult industry when XRCO named her the 2015 Unsung Siren of the Year.

In addition to her acclaimed role in “Girlfriends,” the brunette beauty earned critical praise for her performance as the daughter of porn stars in B. Skow’s “Proud Parents,” from Skow for Girlfriends Films, and for her work in Hard X’s “Analized.”

Beyond performing, it has been a big year off-screen for Calvert.

Since January, she has been featured in Huffington Post, Mandatory.com, Refinery 29, The Daily Beast, UPROXX, NextShark.com, Ravishly.com, CraveOnline, Cosmopolitan, and more.

She is also starring in the new TV campaign for WeAre18.com, is the official BDSM and fetish expert for GameLink.com, and featured in “Coming Out Like a Porn Star,” the book edited by industry veteran Jiz Lee.

Presented by LiveJasmin, the 2016 XBIZ Awards Show takes place on January 15 at the J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live in Los Angeles.
