Season 2 of Digital Playground’s ‘DP Star’ Debuts Monday
BURBANK, Calif. — Digital Playground’s “DP Star” has returned for a second season with a new judge on board, comedian Jim Florentine, who will be alongside judges Nikki Benz and Holly Randall.
The show, hosted by Eva Lovia, searches for the next contract star and premieres online on Monday.
Florentine is a comedian, actor and television personality, with his podcast “Comedy Metal Midgets.”
"I am honored to be a judge on ‘DP Star,’” he said. “It was really tough for me to be around all the beautiful contestants all day especially since I'm single now. I'm excited for the upcoming season because I know how great all the girls were."
This season "DP Star" is sponsored by Adult Empire, a leading adult retailer on the Internet, specializing in web, video and retail sales.
Megan Wozniak, director of marketing at Adult Empire, said, "We’re thrilled to back the return of ‘DP Star’ season two. It’s such a great opportunity for newcomers and known talent to really take their career to the next level by having the chance to be a part of one of the top companies in the industry. We look forward to seeing this competition really heat up."
The winner of “DP Star” will receive a one-year contract with the studio, and a leading role in Digital Playground’s Blockbuster of 2016, in addition to worldwide fame and access to the largest adult network.
"This year's ‘DP Star’ will have 35 of the hottest up and coming chicks in the industry, showing off their sexual prowess in stripping, acting and Q&A segments,” said Samael, product manager of Digital Playground. “The top two girls of each audition episode will be picked by our judges, then a user vote will decide who the winner will be for each episode. The top five will be featured in a live show on Jan. 11 with user voting for each girl all the way up to the date, and the last two girls standing will perform in a ‘Top 2 Final Fuck-Off LIVE’ show on Jan. 19."
