XFANZ Launches Official Website for 2007 Erotica Film Fest

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — In anticipation of the XFANZ Erotica Film Fest '07, XFANZ has launched the official website for the event, XFANZFilmFest.com.

The new website includes all the details that prospective filmmakers will need to get ready for the fest, including film guidelines, a downloadable submission form and the official trailer, which stars alt-porn queen Joanna Angel.

XFANZ Associate Editor Vito Anthony, who heads up video production for the site, said that he and XFANZ videographer Drew Johnson aimed for a specific idea with the gritty trailer.

"We wanted to create something that was highly charged with dark eroticism, and I think we did it," Anthony said. "We wanted it to look modern but timeless, and Joanna was the perfect choice to embody that look — she has this dark, timeless beauty."

The XFANZ Film Fest will welcome short erotic film submissions from fans around the world as well as from within the adult industry. Day one of the festival will go old school for the classics of adult cinema, while stars and filmmakers of yesteryear will be invited to share their experiences with the audiences. Day two will focus on screenings of new submissions.

The event, which is set for Sept. 15-16 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, is already getting a big response.

"Since the announcement of the XFANZ Film Fest, there's been an immense and immediate response from studios, directors and local film students," XFANZ Director of Public Relations Dusty Marie said. "We look forward to receiving tons of very sexy, edgy and unique shorts. Fans of erotica can look forward to an amazing selection of erotic films showcasing this September."
