WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration on Friday said it is advising consumers not to purchase or use Power Khan, a product promoted for sexual enhancement.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Power Khan penis pills contain hidden ingredients — sildenafil and thiosildenafil. Thiosildenafil is structurally similar to sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA-approved prescription drug Viagra.
The product’s packaging said that it is a 100 percent natural herb product — containing garlic, watermelon and ginseng — and has been certified by the Korean equivalent of the FDA.
The FDA said the product was identified during an examination of international mail shipments and later placed on its blacklist.
