‘Kim Kardashian Superstar’ Back On Vivid Release Schedule

LOS ANGELES — Socialite Kim Kardashian’s homemade sex tape will finally be released March 21, according to Vivid Entertainment co-founder Steven Hirsch.

Kardashian filed suit against Vivid Feb. 21, alleging she did not consent to the tape’s distribution. Vivid subsequently announced a halt to the release of the tape, which was originally scheduled for Feb. 28.

From the beginning, Hirsh has asserted that Vivid has the legal right to release the tape and that he was seeking to meet with Kardashian to iron out the details.

The meeting, which took place Wednesday, was unsuccessful Hirsch said, prompting him to release the tape despite Kardashian’s public objections and pending lawsuit.

“I met with Kim yesterday and unfortunately, we didn’t even come close to reaching an agreement,” Hirsch said. “We will now immediately move forward with the release. We still remain open to any further discussion with Kim as we would like her to benefit from sales of the DVD. We’re also posting a new preview clip from the title starting next week on KimKSuperstar.com.

Vivid bought the video from a third party for an alleged $1 million.
