Stoya to Appear on Vivid Radio Tuesday With Christy Canyon

LOS ANGELES — Superstar performer Stoya, the host of the 2016 XBIZ Awards presented by LiveJasmin, will be a special guest of the “The Christy Canyon Show” this Tuesday afternoon on Vivid Radio.

Stoya will host the 2016 XBIZ Awards on Jan. 15 at the spectacular J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live. She plans to discuss the anticipation for the adult industry’s biggest night as well as her multi-faceted career with host Christy Canyon.

“I adore Christy and have been having a great time on her show every year or so since I started performing,” Stoya said. “I would say something about how calling in means I don't have to wear pants, but I think I've been bottomless in the studio with Christy a time or two, so nevermind..."

Widely considered one of the top Vivid Girls of all time, Canyon began her career as a Vivid Girl in September 1990. In ’98, she took a break from making films to concentrate more on her feature dancing as well as writing her autobiography, “Lights, Camera, SEX!”

For the past nine years she has been hosting her own show on Sirius XM Radio. Canyon does a two-hour live broadcast every weekday from 2 to 4 p.m. PST that can be heard on SiriusXM Channel 791 or on VividRadio.com. Stoya will join Canyon live from her home in New York about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

“I’m thrilled to welcome the stunning Stoya back to my show again,” Canyon said. “She’s a wonderful guest and we always have such a blast on the air together. I know she’ll do a fabulous job hosting the 2016 XBIZ Awards and I can’t wait to ask her about it.”

As one of the elite performers of her generation, the 2009 XBIZ Best New Starlet Stoya has made a remarkable impact both inside and outside adult entertainment since her debut in 2007.

A native of North Carolina who now resides in New York, Stoya is also a noted writer, influential industry advocate, producer/director and entrepreneur.

Her commentaries have been published in the New York Times, Esquire, Vice, New Statesman and Medium.com, among others.

This past January Stoya co-hosted the red-carpet arrivals for the 2015 XBIZ Awards with Steven St. Croix.

The XBIZ Awards show is the most celebrated night of honors in adult, recognizing outstanding achievements across every facet of the multibillion-dollar business, including movie production, pleasure products, technology and retail.

Since its inception, household names from the world of erotica hosted the gala, including Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Jesse Jane, Jessica Drake, Kayden Kross and James Deen.

Its worldwide reach has led to international media coverage from renowned outlets such as the Los Angeles Times, CNBC, TIME, Cosmopolitan, New York Magazine, Huffington Post and The Daily Beast, among others.

The XBIZ Awards will coincide with the industry’s trade events series of the year, XBIZ 2016, which annually features an unparalleled lineup of guest speakers and special events dedicated to exploring the future of the adult industry.

Vivid Radio in less than two years has become the most listened to adult radio network in the world.
