Zane’s new series, “Tattooed & Tight,” will depict famous tattoo artists actually inking the performers — some for the first time — who will then use the artist’s studio to film a sex scene. The series’ first volume will feature Dirt, who has tatted Britney Spears and Pleasure contract star Tera Wray.
“I come back to the industry after six years and this thing called alt-porn is huge,” Zane said. “I asked a few people what it was and they tell me it's porn based around music, tattoos, piercings and I laughed. I didn’t think they were serious.
“AVN once said that was my trademark style, now it's a whole genre. When I started with the whole counter culture thing people in the business thought it was all a joke. Times have changed.”
Zane also will have rock music play a larger role in his movies. The Los Angeles-based rocker is the front man for heavy metal band Society 1, which has toured all over the world for the past six years, released five CDs, three DVDs and two music videos. The Resistence, a hard rock duo will create original music for Zane’s “Tattooed & Tight” series.
