Bin Laden’s Porn Stash Is Kept Secret

WASHINGTON — It continues to be a mystery what kind of pornography Osama Bin Laden had a fetish for, or even the names of his favorite performers.

Today, the U.S. government released a sizeable tranche of documents and other material recovered during the raid on the Abbottabod, Pakistan, compound used to hide Bin Ladin.

But none of the material released today included erotic content or traces of it even though Bin Laden was found to possess a "fairly extensive" cache of porn videos when U.S. commandos raided the compound.

An official at the U.S. Office of the Director of National Intelligence today said that the sexually explicit content would remain classified even as other parts of Bin Laden's personal files were released.

The official noted that it was “due to the nature of the content the decision was made not to release it" and that the intelligence community will be reviewing hundreds more Bin Laden documents in the near future for possible declassification and release.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence released some now-declassified Bin Laden documents and material here.
