Astroglide Debuts Sperm-Friendly Lube

VISTA, Calif. — Astroglide has debuted a new lubricant, Astroglide TTC (Trying to Conceive), which is specially formulated to provide a better environment for conception.

“We couldn’t be more excited to add Astroglide TTCTM to our collection of personal lubricants," says Helen Way, senior marketing manager at BioFilm, Inc. "We know that this affordable and easy-to-apply formula will be a big hit with couples!”

According to the company, lab-tested Astroglide TTC has been clinically proven to allow sperm to move freely and unhindered. Its pH levels are specially formulated to be compatible with sperm, oocytes (egg cells) and embryos. TTC also has a low osmolality (concentration of substances like sodium and potassium.

“Stress and discomfort can make getting pregnant seem like a painful chore, when it should really be a fun and exciting process,” says Dr. Shahin Ghadir, Astroglide’s new fertility expert. “That’s why the release of Astroglide TTC is such great news for couples — the lubricant makes the process more comfortable and fun.”

In addition to the release of Astroglide TTC, Astroglide has also announced a partnership with Shahin Ghadir, M.D. and Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Ghadir will serve as an Astroglide brand ambassador to promote Astroglide TTC and to provide the advice of a medical expert to couples who struggle with issues of fertility.

A graduate of UCLA and the Central University School of Medicine, Dr. Ghadir currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Fertility Association. President and founder of the non-profit Fertility For All, Dr. Ghadir has also been widely published in journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Ghadir also served as a consultant for the infertility section of the bestselling pregnancy guide, “What to Expect When You’re Expecting.”
