pjur Visits Victorian Parliament With Australian Sex Party's Fiona Patten

MELBOURNE, Australia — The pjur Group was given a VIP tour of the Victorian Parliament by the Australian Sex Party’s Fiona Patten — the first Member of Parliament in the world to have originated from an adult industry lobby group.

The company said the official tour was in celebration of the Party’s victory in securing its first seat in parliament in 2014, which was supported by pjur group Australia.

Robbie Swan, acting CEO of the Eros Foundation, and Rob Godwin, managing director of pjur Group Australia, accompanied pjur CEO Alexander Giebel. The tour reviewed the state library, historical monuments and the upper and lower houses of parliament.

“It was an honor to view such a historic building and to celebrate a very important victory for Fiona and the whole adult industry. It is vital we have a voice in parliament to assist the adult industry pushing for progressive laws and reforms effecting our society and business,” Giebel said.

Patten added, “It was great to see Alexander and Rob from pjur and I thank them for their support. I was particularly interested in sharing ideas around Alexander’s research as a future trend in the adult industry.”

Pjur noted that Giebel is in Australia for a three-week tour incorporating visiting to major customers, wholesalers, and to conclude a major research project with the Royal Women’s Hospital of Melbourne. In addition, he will be attending Calvista’s Adult Ex B2B show, where the second drawing of the pjur Go for Gold campaign will take place.
