Fun Factory Donates $5K to The Life Group LA

LOS ANGELES — Following a promotion over the holidays, Fun Factory USA has donated $5,000 to The Life Group.

During the 2014 holiday season Fun Factory USA held a promotion coined #NoAdultLeftBehind, where it would donate $1 donation for each toy sold during the month of December.

The Life Group LA provides free information and emotional support to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. The Life Group LA was chosen for the donation via a fan vote on social media.

Founded in 2005, The Life Group LA is a coalition of people dedicated to the education, empowerment and emotional support of persons affected by HIV/AIDS. It provides free of charge medical forums, emotional support groups, and organizes the POZ Life Weekend Seminar where anyone is welcome to come and learn how to live healthy and overcome fears associated with being HIV-positive.

Sunnie Rose, executive director of The Life Group LA, said, “We are so appreciative for having been selected as one of the charities for this contest and overwhelmed with gratitude that our supporters took the time and voted for us. It is also encouragement for people to know that by just taking a second of their time to click on a link and vote, or make a purchase, it can make a huge difference for an organization to win an award!”

Kristen Tribby, Fun Factory USA’s director of marketing and education, said, “Fun Factory is delighted to do what we can to aid our local community, our customers and retail partners made this past holiday season one of the biggest in company history — we are more than thrilled to share our success with those creating support communities to those in need."
