LOS ANGELES — Adult star Tommy Pistol has been cast to play the iconic role of Frankie Valli in the upcoming production of "Jersey Boys XXX The Porn Musical."
The movie musical is being directed by Will Ryder who is following up on the success of his award-winning musicals "Grease XXX" and "Not the Wizard of Oz XXX." Pistol was the ideal choice to play the Italian crooner because of his resemblance, quick wit, humor, acting ability and his reliability as a solid woodsman, according to Ryder.
"I'm really excited to get this role because Frankie Valli has one of the coolest careers in show business and he's still performing and the fact we get to create a porn parody musical made me immediately jump at the opportunity," said Pistol, the 2012 XBIZ Award-winning Best Actor.
Ryder said that "Jersey Boys" is a prime candidate to have an adult movie parody due to the popularity of the Broadway musical, which has multiplied to a dozen stage companies performing the musical around the world. It returns to Los Angeles in September at The Pantages Theater. Clint Eastwood also directed a gritty Hollywood movie this year which showcased the dark underworld that was a part of the success of The Four Seasons.
"This is the perfect project at the perfect time and Tommy Pistol is the perfect actor to play Frankie Valli," Ryder said.
Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons burst to the top of the charts in the 1960s and 70s with catchy pop tunes like "Sherry," "Dawn," "December 1963," "Big Girls Don't Cry, Beggin," "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," "Who Loves You" and "Working My Way Back to You." The music often highlighted by Valli's uniquely high falsetto.
Ryder said he has been immersed in the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons playing it non-stop in his car and at home for the past 60 days. He has also seen the movie and stage musical multiple times. He is currently producing and recording the parody musical selections with his music studio partner, Rock Hardson.
Ryder's previous musicals include "Not the Wizard of Oz XXX" and "Grease XXX."
"We take creating the music very seriously and this is going to be among the top-selling adult movies of the year," Ryder said. "It will be worthy of couples that want to enjoy good sexual entertainment with a high quality production and I predict a real blockbuster as they say. I am a huge 'Jersey Boys fan' and we will not disappoint anybody."
Some roles have been cast but that process is still underway. Interested actors should immediately contact Ryder.
"Jersey Boys XXX The Porn Musical" will be in stores in late September.
