Wendy Summers Rebuts WSJ Article

LOS ANGELES — Transsexual porn starlet Wendy Summers has posted a response on Eros Guide to a Wall Street Journal article, “Transgender Surgery Isn’t the Solution,” which concludes “a drastic physical change doesn’t address underlying psycho-social troubles.”

The article sites the work of Dr. Paul McHugh and claims that the issue is not a civil rights matter and that by accepting surgical intervention, society is in reality promoting a mental disorder.

Rather, the article finds, there are underlying psycho-social troubles that need to be addressed, such as body dysmorphic disorder, as a preferable option to allowing trans-identified people to undergo gender reassignment surgery.

“Despite the growing societal acceptance of transsexuals, it saddens me that we still see some professionals’ personal biases enter the public discourse,” Wendy says.

Her full response is available online at blog.eros.com/the-wall-street-journal-rebuttal.

This year Wendy has continued producing exclusive original content for her site, WendySummers.com, while receiving a variety of award nominations.
