AMSTERDAM — Nonprofit PlanetRomeo Foundation, which envisions a world without discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, contributed more than $36,000 to six projects in the second quarter of 2014, the organization announced.
“PlanetRomeo Foundation is committed to helping improve the lives of LGBT people all over the world, especially those living in the most disadvantaged communities and locations,” chairman Renate Hartman said.
He added, “By micro funding small-scale projects run for the community, by the community, we aim to make a positive impact for those who need it most. We would like to thank PlanetRomeo members for making this possible through their generous donations and support.”
The projects that received the donations include Keeping Alive Societies Hope (KASH); Human Rights First Rwanda Association (HRFRA); Lokenatya O Sansrik Unnayan Kendro (LOSAUK); Unnamed Project, East Africa and The Aguda.
