Pervlens Media Retires Pay Site, Continues Shooting

LONDON — Pervlens Media has announced that it is set to wind down production for its self-owned adult pay sites later this month, but will continue shooting for other companies.

According to Pervlens CEO Ben Yates, a number of factors influenced the decision to leave the adult pay site market.

“The U.K. industry is really very weak,” Yates states. “[From] increased regulation right down to the talent pool — everything has become too difficult for small providers to create exciting, high quality content that consumers rightly demand.”

“Exploited British Girls” was to be the latest pay site project from Pervlens Media and was to feature some of the hottest and sexiest amateur POV content in the U.K. market.

“It was really the talent pool in the U.K. that killed off ‘Exploited British Girls.’ There is no way that site could survive on a long-term basis, as it would rely on a steady stream of relatively fresh talent,” Yates laments, adding that “Our talent pool in the U.K. is shrinking quickly and isn’t being replenished. Couple this with the rising anti-porn mood and lack of industry structure on our side of the pond and failure is unfortunately inevitable with this kind of project.”

Yates notes that it is not quite the end for “Exploited British Girls” (EBG), as content already shot for the site will be released as a DVD and VOD series, with volume one due out in September.

“EBG is a great concept and one that could still work, just not in the original format as planned. As well as the DVD/VOD releases, it is hoped that the website will become an active hub for discovering British (and European) talent,” Yates explains. “It’s a matter of great sadness for me personally in that I’ve always strived to put my customer first when producing content, and ultimately leaving the pay site space is an admission that we can’t deliver that from the U.K. anymore.”

Although Pervlens Media maybe winding down content production for its own pay sites, clients will still receive the same high quality content production service offerings they have come to expect.

“Pervlens Media isn’t leaving production behind, we are just not producing for or running our own pay sites anymore,” Yates states. “We will continue to produce content for others and our DVD/VOD titles.”
