Cody Media Taps Porn Guardian

SAN FRANCISCO — Cody Media announced today that it has chosen Porn Guardian to assist the studio's antipiracy needs. Cody Media operates SeanCody.com, an iconic brand in gay porn.

Brad Peterson, anti-piracy director of Cody Media said, “We needed to find a company that could not only help us with getting our content removed via DMCAs, but one that could help us prepare bullet-proof evidence packages for legal proceedings and go above and beyond when it comes to dealing with ISPs, billing processors and the rest of the piracy ecosystem that isn’t simply the DMCA.

"We also needed a company that excelled at gay content," he said. "Porn Guardian was the obvious, and only, choice.”

Porn Guardian co-founder Dominic Ford,  meanwhile, said the that his company was "honored that Sean Cody has put its trust in our company to help them with their legal preparations and DMCA work.

"Our reporting abilities are the best in the industry, and we are! excited to help such an important brand as they fight back against piracy and pirates,” he said.

Peter Phinney, co-founder of Porn Guardian, added, “Sean Cody is a terrific partner and the work we are doing together will hopefully bring some major pirate sites down in the very near future. We look forward to a long relationship with Cody Media that will not only benefit them, but will help the entire industry.”

To date, Porn Guardian (Piracy Stops Here LLC) has reported about 8 million illegal files on behalf of customers. It’s staff searches the Internet 24/7 finding illegal content and getting them taken down.

The company’s evidence packages have been used in most major piracy lawsuits in the industry, and were instrumental in getting major sites dismantled, such as Oron.com.
