CCBill Eliminates Free Trial Surcharge

TEMPE, AZ — CCBill announced today that as part of its ongoing expansion of options for merchants, it is eliminating the surcharge for free trial initial and recurring transactions for all existing and new merchants.

The company said the elimination of surcharges is a step to remove what has been a barrier to merchants in trying new ways to attract and grow their membership base. The announcement is another step in CCBill's ongoing efforts to adapt to the changing way consumers are buying and subscribing from websites across the globe.

“We wanted to open up more opportunities for our merchants to attract new members, and free trials has always proven very successful in attracting members who might not have joined in the past,” said Gary Jackson, CCBill’s managing vice president of sales.

He added, “But in the banking networks, no transaction is without costs. In this case, we are making that investment and covering the initial cost, allowing our merchants to try new marketing options without added surcharges. I like to call these 'seriously free trials.'”

Merchants interested in implementing free trials can email CCBill merchant support at clientsupport@CCbill.com, or by calling (800) 510-2859.
