VENICE, Calif. — Adult star Brandi Love will be speaking to undergrad and graduate students in the East Carolina University Department of Sociology later this month.
Love will talk about the legitimacy of alternative relationships and her position that, in many cases, traditional marriage simply doesn't work.
“I have been speaking with students at ECU for years and applaud the Department of Sociology at East Carolina University for having me back in 2014 to discuss the relevancy of alternative relationships," Love said. "It shows respect for the position that loving relationships can exist outside the traditional confines we are often forced into. Coming on the heels of the alternative and beautiful mass marriage at this year's Grammy's, I am especially motivated to speak with the students."
Love was born in Michigan and attended Central Michigan University. She launched her website, BrandiLove.com in 2004.
“People can say what they like about my website, my chosen profession and alternative lifestyles, but it's hard to argue with a happily married woman of 19 years when it comes to relationships," she said. "Whether you are in a gay, lesbian, open marriage or otherwise, this continued discussion shows that some people are dedicated to taking steps forward.”
Professor of Sociology Dr. David Knox said, "Brandi and her husband are engaging speakers, who always come organized and ready to tackle challenging issues. She has spoken for three years to my human sexuality class on swinging/adult lifestyles and continues to hold the room spellbound."
The talk is scheduled for March 25.
